  • The IVF process, from ovarian stimulation to embryo transfer, typically takes about three months, but this can vary from person to person.
  • During the IVF process, you can still continue with your normal work and daily activities. We will provide the most personalized plan based on your schedule.
  • Normal women develop multiple follicles each menses cycle but only one will get mature. Doctor will usually start stimulation cycle by using hormone medication to boost as many follicles, then retrieve all matured follicles for fertilization
  • Before undergoing the follicles retrieval procedure, general anaesthesia is administered. The procedure typically lasts 10-20 minutes, and the process is completely painless.
  • The risk of ovarian hyperstimulation due to excessive medication for follicle quantity can be high. Therefore, it is essential to follow the most suitable protocol provided by the doctor for ovarian stimulation.
  • The protocol is personalized based on factors such as age, ovarian reserve, and analysis by the doctor. There is no ‘best’ protocol, only the most suitable one.
  • After follicles retrieval surgery, usually can return to work the next day, but it’s important to avoid extreme exercise and extreme tiredness.
  • Ovarian stimulation simply allows immature follicles to continue maturing. If stimulation doesn’t occur, these immature follicles would be expelled from the body during menstruation. Therefore, ovarian stimulation assists in the maturation and retrieval of follicles that would otherwise naturally be expelled from the body, causing no harm.
  • The doctor recommends transferring multiple embryos because of the poor quality, aiming to increase the chances of success. However, if the doctor is confident about the quality of the embryos, they would only choose to transfer the best single embryo. Therefore, the idea that transferring more embryos lead to better outcomes is incorrect. At most time, two embryos are transferred.
  • During the ovarian stimulation period, intercourse is not allowed.
